Installation Steps: 1. Turn off water supply to the tub/shower. 2. Remove the knob center cap and knob, then slide off the outer sleeve. 3. Remove the brass bonnet (can be removed by hand or with channel-lock pliers). 4. Replace the old cartridge, clean out any debris in the pipeline. 5. Insert the new cartridge, thread and tighten the brass bonnet. If you removed the backing plate, clean off old caulk and ensure all parts are clean. 6. Slide the outer sleeve back on, replace the backing plate, and secure in place. 7. Reinstall the knob, center cap, and knob.
